Turtle Creek Farm
My name is Sherri and I have been ridding and doing the hole horse thing for over 40 yrs, man does that make me sound old now. I got my first pony when I was 3yrs old and she came home in the back seat of my dads old station wagon. That was when I knew I wanted to be a horse woman and it was in my blood. I used to fallow my dad around and try to do every thing he did right down to shoeing horses. I have alot to be thankful for as far as my dad goes . He taught me alot over the yrs. If it wasn't for him I would have never gone as far as I did in the horse world. I belonged to 4-H as a small child , then i joined a Milatary Drill team with my thrid horse Victor he was a MFT. We went on to do excerbitions for the Shriners of Boston Mass and also we rode in many parades and also did alot of work for MDA. Victor and I went on to ride in the Rodeo until he became to old to do that and he and I won quite large purses while we rode. I also had a beatiful Arab/Appy cross by the name of Jr. Mint at that same time and he was a wonterful horse also . He was a Park horse . I trained him for a wonderful friend of my dads and he still has him to this day. I have worked at a Arab farm as a maniger for quite a few yrs til the owner passed away. I handled all the hand breeding. Then I moved on to a Saddle Bred farm and did the same thing for them til they closed there doors to move to Australia . At that point I started a ridding school with 25 horses and two barns. I had that for oh quite a few yrs. I am also a mom of 48 children ..and 29 wonderful grandchildren. I was a foster mom for yrs and if I had to do it all over again I would not change any thing that I did. If you want to know anything else about me just ask..
